Review: Wet n Wild Nude Awakening Palette

Yes, I'm back with another review! [cue evil laughter] Oh wait. Anyway, no double mix this time. I'm not feeling too right at the moment. Construction at work has been kicking up some type of dust, inhaling whatever it is has been affecting everyone there. But I am feeling right enough to do the review.

I picked up the Nude Awakening palette from Wet n Wild's limited edition Spring Forward collection back on March 11th (they STILL have palettes at Harmons). I was torn between the two palettes (the other being Going In The Wild) that are offered with this LE collection, but ended up getting Nude Awakening being I'm a sucker for naturals. I'm most definitely going to pick up the other one though.

So, without further ado! Onward to the review!

Wet n Wild 8 Pan Palette Spring Forward in Nude Awakening
This is pretty self explanatory, if you're familiar with Wet n Wild's permanent 8 pan palette line, not much is needed to be said. If not, you get 8 different eyeshadows (normally the fall within the same color field or close to) that you can use in various combinations. While on the back of the package it does give you tips, you can create whatever type of look you wish to use.

The description on the back of the package:
A stunning collection of 8 silky, ultra-pigmented day to night colors. Mix and match for a variety of looks from sweet to wild! All day, crease-resistant color.
Ingredients: Talc, Nylon-12, Ethyl Macadamiate, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Magnesium Stearate, Boron Nitride, Caprylyl, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Glycerin, Dimethicone/Methicone Copolymer, (+/- MAY CONTAIN): Black 2/CI 77266, Carmine/CI 75470, Iron Oxides/CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, Manganese Violet/CI 77742, Mica, Red 40 Lake/CI 16035, Titanium Dioxide/CI 77891, Ultramarines/CI 77007, Yellow 5 Lake/CI 19140]

Packaging: Unlike the other 8 pan palettes that Wet n Wild offers which are black case, the Spring Forward collection is a white case, with a clear plastic, hinged top. The clear plastic is actually decorated with white flowers for spring! It's very sturdy, and I believe it'd hold up easy if dropped (I wouldn't suggest dropping it to test that theory though). Inside, you get your two rows of 4 pans each, plus a double sided applicator. One side being a sponge tip and the other being an angle brush.

Texture: Exactly as the packaging reads, each one is silky. Certain ones do feel mildly softer than others, which I don't have an issue with.

Pigmentation: Right off the bat, very pigmented even without primer under them. So very buildable for all of them.

Overall Impression: I'm a sucker for neutral palettes. Wet n Wild delivers with this one. I absolutely love it!

Price: $4.99

Availability: I found mine at Harmons Discount. If anyone knows of other locations that they've seen these palettes, please comment so I can add what stores are carrying them.

    1. They're still available. But being you're on a spending band (saw it on twitter & your blog :D), heathernking is holding an instagram giveaway to win both palettes.
