Review: Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15

A little over a week ago I came home from work to find a little package on the door step. I was flabbergasted when I opened it up to see it was a product from Simple! Yup, nope wasn't expecting it at all.

For the record, I have combination skin. I have an oily top of the T-zone, then dry everywhere else, especially my cheeks. My poor cheeks lap up any moisture given then they STILL die.

I normally use two different moisturizers, a heavy moisturizer during the winter and at night, that my dry skin still beats out (UGH!) and a light moisturizer during the spring/summer that tries to tame my oily skin.

So, I can definitely say I'm delighted with trying this, especially since it's basically my introduction to Simple Skincare!

Onward to the review!

Simple Skincare Protecting Light Moisturizer
Packaging: Simple and Clean (no no, not from Kingdom Hearts). It's a 4.2fl oz bottle that comes in a box. So you get quite a bit of product, which is a plus. I also like the simple design on the bottle.

Ingredients: (Active - Sunscreen) Avobenzone (3.0%), Enulizole (1.0%), Octisalate (5.0%); (Inactive) Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Bisabolol, Glyceryl Stearate, Potassium, Stearate, Carbomer, Caprylyl Glycol, Cetl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Stearminde AMP, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Methylisothiazolinone.

Formula/Texture: It's a light weight formula, similar to lotion. Not heavy, but not thin. Once applied to the face it soaks into the skin fairly quickly and doesn't leave a residue. Normally with formulas that soak into the skin fast, my skin still feels dry, but with this, it doesn't.

Overall Verdict: As I mentioned before, this is my introduction to Simple Skincare, I've never used any of their products before, but I can honestly say that I'm impressed. Normally with light moisturizers with SPF, the ingredients for the sunscreen dry out my skin, but I haven't had any issues with this one.

Price: $12.99 (via Ulta.com) price varies depending on where you purchase Simple Skincare.

Availability: Wherever Simple Skincare is sold. If you visit Simple's website, under each product they do provide a "Find a store near you".

The product mentioned in this review was sent to me either directly from the company or a company working on behalf of the brand mentioned. All opinions are my own and 100% honest.
